ATHELSTAN AETHELING

(Redirected from Æthelstan Ætheling)
'Athelstan Aetheling' (more properly 'Æþelstan Æþeling') was the eldest son of the early English king Ethelred the Unready.
The young prince Athelstan died in 1011 while still a minor leaving his younger brother Edmund Ironside as the eldest son and prime candidate to succeed his father, which he did in 1016.
