'42355 Typhon' is a centaur that was discovered on February 5, 2002 by the NEAT program. It is named after the monster of Greek myth, Typhon.

Typhon has a single known satellite known as '(42355) Typhon I Echidna'. It orbits its primary at ~1300 km, completing one orbit in about 11 days. It's diameter is estimated to be 78±8 km.
