Mission
The New Mexico Air National Guard provides unsurpassed aerospace combat capability and combat support forces to meet any contingency in the world.
History
In June of 1991, the 150th Tactical Fighter Group was renamed the 150th Fighter Group. Now the 150th Fighter Wing, the primary mission is air interdiction to support Twelfth Air Force and Air Combat Command with worldwide deployment capability. In addition the wing maintains a Defense Systems Evaluation tasking and conducts testing of different domestic and foreign surface-to-air missile systems and air defense artillery.
