Anti-Flag			The band is not currently on tour and they plan to begin working on a new album.[33]
Cassie	Early 2008	Currently Recording	She has begun working on the follow-up to her self-titled debut ''Cassie'' and plans to release it early 2008 after the release of Step Up 2: The Streets. She also wants to prove that she has stage presence & a pure voice. [34]
Cannibal Corpse	Mid 2008		Bassist Alex Webster has stated in recent interviews with Terrorizer Magazine that he expects to begin writing new material for a 2008 release.[35]
Children of Bodom	March 2008		The Finnish melodic death/power metal band plans on releasing their new album in 2008. The promo single "Tie My Rope" is out now.[36]
Def Leppard		Currently writing	Joe Elliot and Vivian Campbell stated that the working title is "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge."Rockline Radio highlights, ''DefLeppard.com News'' Rick Allen recently announced that the band is finished working on the album until after their 2007 tour.[37]
From The Jam		Currently recording	Following the partial reformation of The Jam (minus Paul Weller), Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler have announced the release of a new album at some point in 2008, to coincide with a tour of Japan and North America.[38]
Matisyahu	Early 2008	Currently writing	He has begun writing his follow-up to ''Youth'' and plans to release it early this year.[39]
The Police			The band recently reunited and guitarist Andy Summers has also mentioned the possibility of recording their first album in 25 years.[40]
Rancid			Drummer Branden Steineckert just recently mentioned that Rancid will resume work on its as-yet-untitled new album this January.[41]
Rise Against	Summer		The band plans to write and record their next album sometime after they finish supporting their latest album ''The Sufferer and the Witness''.[42]
Sepultura			The Brazilian metal band is planning on releasing a new album in 2008, being the first without original drummer Max Cavalera.[43]
Slipknot	Early-Mid 2008		Frontman Corey Taylor stated in an interview with VH1 that the band plans to release a new album sometime in 2008 as the members work on their side projects, including Stone Sour.[44]
Slayer			Bassist/vocalist Tom Araya mentioned in an interview that Slayer's follow-up to ''Christ Illusion'' will probably its last studio recording.[45]
Tool			Bassist Justin Chancellor mentioned that the band plans to record and release their next album after they take a break from supporting its last album ''10,000 Days''.[46]
Voivod			Drummer Michel "Away" Langevin recently confirmed that Voivod are planning to return to the studio in the fall of 2007 to work on their follow-up to 2006's ''Katorz''.[47]
