37TH PARALLEL NORTH

The 'parallel 37° north' is an imaginary circle of latitude that is 37 degrees north of the Earth's equatorial plane.

The parallel 37° north forms the southern boundary of the states of Kansas, Colorado, and Utah and the northern boundary of the states of Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona. The intersection of the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah at the Four Corners is the only place in the United States where four states touch.
From west to east, the parallel passes through (or forms the boundary of) the following states: California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Virginia.
The parallel 37° north formed the southern boundary of the historic and extralegal Territory of Jefferson.
