ATLANTIS-2
'ATLANTIS-2' is a fiber optic transatlantic telephone cable connecting Argentina, Brazil, Senegal, Cape Verde, Canary Islands and Portugal. Embratel, which organized the project, also installed two additional fiber pairs for its exclusive use between Fortaleza and Rio de Janeiro. The cable was activated in 1999. It is 13,100 kilometres in length.
