Plot outline


Russell is almost free from her aunt. Just one more week and she is 21 and free as a bird. Going in search of Holmes, she finds him on top of a hansom cab. After a conversation atop the cab with Holmes, Russell runs into her college friend Victoria. Victoria talks Russell in to visiting The New Temple In God to hear Margery Child preach. Russell's curiosity is piqued when she discovered several young women have died shortly after making wills in favor of the temple. A new undercurrent between Holmes and Russell that has her running for the hills or at least the safety of her books in the Bodlean Library at Oxford University, where she is due to graduate.
