ADAH

'Adah' ('עָדָה' "Ornament"/"Dawn", Standard Hebrew 'ʿAda', Tiberian Hebrew 'ʿĀḏāh') is the name of two women in the Book of Genesis.

★ The first wife of Lamech, son of Methushael, a descendant of Cain (Gen. 4:19).

★ The first wife of Esau, the daughter of Elon the Hittite (Gen. 36:2,4), called also Bashemath (26:34) (according to Easton's Bible Dictionary). She was the mother of Eliphaz, Esau's firstborn, and the ancestress of the Edomites.
The Order of the Eastern Star also uses Adah to refer to the daughter of Jephthah, although the Bible does not name her.
