ADRIENNE BAILON

'Adrienne Bailon' (born October 24, 1983) is an American actress and member of the singing groups 3LW with Kiely Williams and Jessica Benson and The Cheetah Girls with Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan. Her mother is from Ecuador and her father from Puerto Rico.

Bailon was born in New York to a Puerto Rican mother and a father called Freddie Bailon from Ecuador.

The Cheetah Girls

She was cast as Chanel in the Disney Channel Original Movie The Cheetah Girls, which spawned a multi-platinum soundtrack and an even more popular sequel with accompanying soundtrack. Kiely Williams of 3LW was also cast as Aqua in the movie. The film became such a success, Bailon, along with fellow cast members Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan became their own girl group, The Cheetah Girls. In 2005 the girls released their debut holiday album Cheetah-licious Christmas. They went on tour to promote the Christmas album and to simultaneously promote the movie. After the release of the Disney Channel Original Movie, The Cheetah Girls 2, the girls hit the road again, on their The Party's Just Begun Tour, to promote the sequel's soundtrack. During the tour The Cheetah Girls also confirmed that they plan to record and release their new album (first official non-holiday album), entitled ''Who We Are'', in the fall of 2007.

Solo career

Aside from being in The Cheetah Girls and 3LW, Bailon has stated that she also wants to have a solo album out in 2008. She wants the album to have a hip beat to it and also containing many Spanish inspired songs. She says that she wants her solo album because she thinks that it will be different from The Cheetah Girls and 3LW.

High School Musical 3 Rumors

Internet rumors have circulated which state that Adrienne may replace Vanessa Hudgens as Gabriella Montez in ''High School Musical 3'', due to the nude photos scandal involving Hudgens. However these rumours have been denied as Disney have confirmed they are keeping Hudgens on.

3LW Albums

Presently, the group have been unactive as 3LW since 2006 and many fans speculate the group have disbanded. This is due to their album receiving no current release date, no single confirmed and Adrienne's announcement of her own up and coming solo projects including a solo album. In July 2007, after a long period of waiting for the group, the groups most popular fansite and forum 3LWFANS.net was forced into closure. Another reason for the speculation about the split of 3LW is their involvement with the Cheetah Girls. The Cheetah Girls are well established and generate more money than 3LW who have been away from the scene for so long that many feel their comeback would in fact be a second introduction. Therefore both Adrienne and Kiely are suspected to have opted to take the safe route and chosen to stick with the Cheetah Girls rather than make a long awaited return to 3LW.
"Point Of No Return" put on hold
3LW confirmed to put a hold on "Point of No Return" while they tour off with The Cheetah Girls, and the release date has not been scheduled. Rumors say that 3LW might release in August, or until later in 2008. 3LW still has not confirmed when to release the album or the tracks for the album.
