AGONAC


'Agonac' is a commune in the canton of Brantôme of the Charente-Maritime in the ''département'' in the Aquitaine ''région'' in France. The commune is ranked second in the canton.

The commune extends into the valley of Beauronne, it is located 12 km north of Périgueux.

History


The settlements "Borie-Vieille" and "Les Cadagnes". In the 11th century, the village was to be built on a hill containing valleys with difficult access and built four fourtresses and protected the area from the Norman invasions.
