AK-CHIN INDIAN COMMUNITY
Location of the Ak-Chin Indian Community in Pinal County, Arizona.
The 'Ak-Chin Indian Community' is a Native American community located in the Santa Cruz Valley in Arizona. The community is mainly comprised of Pima and Tohono O'odham, as well as some Yoeme members.
Ak-Chin is an O'odham word that means "place where the wash loses itself in the sand or ground."
