ALAN QUINN
'Alan Quinn' (born June 13, 1979 in Dublin) is a professional footballer from the Republic of Ireland. He plays for Sheffield United in the Football League Championship.
He is the eldest of three brothers currently at the club, the others being Stephen who is also a member of the first team squad and Keith who played for the Reserve B team in the Pontins League Eastern Section in 2006-07.

Club career
Quinn played schoolboy football in Dublin for Lourdes Celtic, Manortown United and Cherry Orchard. He started out his English club career at Sheffield Wednesday, making his first appearance as a substitute during 1997-98 and his first start the following season. After two games in his first two seasons his career took off during 1999-2000 and he eventually played 178 League and Cup games for the Owls scoring 17 times.
After 6 games on loan to Sunderland, and winning an Internet player of the year award for the 2002-2003 season [1] he moved to bitter rivals Sheffield United on a free transfer in 2004. He is the only player to have scored for both teams in the Steel City derby games.
In the 2006-07 season, Quinn made 19 Premier League appearances and was rewarded in July 2007 with a contract extension to 2010.[1]
International career
He won his first senior cap for the Republic of Ireland against Norway on April 30 2003 and currently has currently has 6 caps, the last one earned as a substitute against Croatia on November 16 2004.
Alan has, along with brother Stephen, been selected as part of the sqaud to face San Marino in the Euro 2008 qualifier at the Serravalle Stadium on Wednesday, February 4, 2007.
Alan then came on as a substitute for Aiden McGeady when Ireland played Slovakia in Croke Park on March 28, 2007.
