ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL
The '''Albuquerque Journal''', also known as '''ABQ Journal''', is the largest newspaper in New Mexico. It is published Monday through Saturday mornings as the ''Albuquerque Journal'', and Sunday mornings as the ''Sunday Journal''.
During the 2004 presidential election, the ''Journal'' endorsed George W. Bush. During the 2006 midterm elections, it endorsed 1st Congressional district candidate Heather Wilson (R).
In 1995, the ''Albuquerque Journal'' began using digital cameras.
The Albuquerque Journal, along with the Albuquerque Tribune, were the first newspapers to sign a JOA (Joint Operating Agreement), on February 20, 1933. Although the case once was that the Journal and Tribune had equal circulation, if it weren't for the JOA, the Tribune with its suffering revenue, would not exist.
The editorials for both the Journal and Tribune are located in the same building.
