'Alex' is a fictional character on the tv series ' Roswell'. He was portrayed by actor Colin Hanks.
Alex Whitman attend Roswell High School for the first season of the show. His favorite subject is music, having his own band and loving nto play the guitar. His two best friends are Liz Parker and Maria DeLuca.
He is in love with Isabel Evans Ramirez from show's beginning, but she doesn't discover she loves him until late in season two.
He's a great friend. He becomes a part of the "alien club" in the episode 'Heat Wave' when Liz tells him the truth about Max Evans. He is killed by Tess Harding in "Cry Your Name" due to too many mind-warpings. After his death, Tess makes Kyle carry his body to the car in a bag unknowingly.
In season one, Alex is out of the aliens' secret until Heat Wave, when Liz is forced to tell him.
Alex plays a crucial role in season two. Before his death, he pretends to go to Sweden, actually translating a book leading the aliens home. He and Isabel Evans Ramirez go to the prom together, Isabel only realizing her true feelings for Alex after his death.
