ALLEMAGNE-EN-PROVENCE
'Allemagne-en-Provence' () is a commune of France in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence ''département''. Population (1999): 379.
Unlike the other French town called Allemagne, which changed its name to Fleury-sur-Orne in 1916 during World War I, Allemagne-en-Provence kept its name.
The inhabitants are called ''Armagnois'' / ''Allemagniens'' (not ''Allemands'' ).
The town is situated north of Verdon River, about half way between Manosque and the Lac de Sainte-Croix, the largest reservoir in France, which forms the western end of the Verdon Gorge.
