ALPHA SAGITTARII


'Alpha Sagittarii' (α Sgr / α Sagittarii) is a star in the constellation of Sagittarius. It also has the traditional name 'Rukbat', derived from the Arabic ''Ar-Rukbah = the knee''.
Rukbat is a blue, class B dwarf star. It is not particularly bright, with a magnitude of +3.96.
