ALTON RAILWAY STATION
'Alton railway station' is a railway station in the town of Alton, in the English county of Hampshire. The station is the terminus for two railway lines; the ''Alton Line'' which runs to Brookwood, and the ''Mid Hants Watercress Railway'', which runs to Alresford.
As well as the two train lines, Alton is also a terminal for the '"Rail-link"' bus service which runs between the station and Liphook railway station via the town of Bordon. Plans to create a railway line along this route have been mooted.
