General entertainment
America One airs a great deal of low-end and international sports broadcasts, reruns and syndicated programming, as well as a morning show, "Good Morning Hawaii" from KHON, and a nightly newscast from the Independent News Network, based in Davenport, Iowa.
America One Sports
America One holds the U.S. broadcast rights to the Canadian Football League, East Coast Hockey League, Hawaii Winter Baseball (ironically, America One does not have a Hawaii affiliate), and the USAR Hooters Pro Cup. America One also aired the American Hockey League's All Star Game in 2007. America One syndicates many of these broadcasts to various regional sports networks in the US (usually, those which are not part of the Fox Sports Net family).
The network had previously held rights to the National Lacrosse League and the IRB Sevens until Versus acquired those rights prior to the 2007 season.
Miscellaneous
America One is the smallest commercial, non-regional network in America to provide news and sports programming. The station is also available through streaming on the Internet through some of its affiliates (such as WBQP-LP in Pensacola, Florida and KDCG-LP in Opelousas, Louisiana). America One had been offering its own stream through its Web site, but it has since been shut down indefinitely, though apparently, temporarily.
America One is owned by the USFR Media Group, which also owns KTBU channel 55 in Houston, Texas. KTBU does not carry the full America One transmission nor does it use any of its branding; it continues to be known as "55 The Tube" as it has been since the station commenced broadcasting in 1998. In fact, America One itself does very little self-promotion of its branding or programs on air, and as such, many America One affiliates appear to be "independent" stations.
