AMPHOE DAMNOEN SADUAK


'Damnoen Saduak' (, lit. ''Comfortable travel'') is a district (''Amphoe'') in central Thailand in the province Ratchaburi. The central town is most famous because of its floating market held every day till noon on a khlong not far from the district office. However as it has become a prime touristical attraction of the Bangkok vicinity the market lost its authenticity.

Neighboring districts are (from the east clockwise) Ban Phaeo of Samut Sakhon Province, Mueang Samut Songkhram and Bang Khonthi of Samut Songkhram Province, Mueang Ratchaburi, Photharam and Bang Phae of Ratchaburi Province.
The district is crossed by the Khlong Damnoen Saduak, which connects the Tha Chin River with the Mae Klong River.

Administration


The district is subdivided into 13 subdistricts (''tambon''), which are further subdivided into 105 villages (''muban''). There are two townships (''thesaban tambon''), Damnoen Saduak and Si Don Phai. The non-municipal area is administrated by 11 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
