ANALY HIGH SCHOOL

'Analy High School' is a high school located in Sebastopol, California. It houses about 1400 students.
Analy has been the high school of Sebastopol since 1908, and many parents of students are graduates. Parents and community are highly involved, and support the school. In 2002, they passed a $13,000,000 bond issue, and three years ago they renewed a four-year parcel tax for another seven years. This parcel tax was defeated in an early initiative, but was placed on the ballot again and passed by a marginal 65 votes.
Although Sebastopol's population is small, the school serves an area of 50,000. Though Analy students are known for their carefree attitude, the students are well-rounded and intelligent. Approximately 85% of Analy's students go directly to two or four-year colleges; the school ranks in the 98th percentile on sending students to two or four-year public schools.
Analy is one of two comprehensive high schools in the West Sonoma County Union High School District, the other being El Molino High School. The high school district has 11 feeder elementary districts. Over the last three years these districts together have developed grade level standards K-12 in English, math and social studies, and work continues in technology and science. As a result, Analy has fully developed, articulated up-to-date, high standards, particularly in English and math.
Analy High School has a long history of excellence and achievement. It is accustomed to being at or near the top of the county every year on state tests, SATs, AP exams, and California High School Performance Report measures. The school conveys high academic expectations to its students, and hold them to very high standards.
Analy High School boasts and impressive Arts department, with a full 30% of the student population involved in the band, choir, or theatre departments on campus.
Analy has a seven period day. The school offers a range of electives, including eleven practical arts classes.
