ANDRé SCHNEIDER
'Andre Schneider' (born Andre-Marc Schneider) is a writer and actor. He was born on March 10, 1978, in Hildesheim, Germany.
Schneider made his first impression as a stand-up comedian in Great Britain and Ireland, before he chalked up a string of parts in international film productions, such as ''The Tulse Luper Suitcases'' (directed by Peter Greenaway) and ''Deed Poll'' (co-starring Barbara Kowa). In theater, he has appeared as Puck in Ian Talbot's West End production of William Shakespeare's ''A Midsummer Night's Dream''. In 2006, he wrote, produced and starred in ''Half Past Ten'', based on the Marguerite Duras novel, ''Dix heures et demie du soir en été''. Other film credits include ''Riot at the Rite'' with Adam Garcia and Alex Jennings and ''The Last Drop'' with Billy Zane. Since 2005, Schneider has appeared in various Spanish independent films.
Between 1997 and 2006, Schneider has also released four music albums, such as ''Lover's Space'' and ''Letters From the Whorehouse Exile''. His first book, ''Life is a Sexually Transmitted Disease'', was published in 2004. The multilingual Schneider (fluent in English, German, Spanish and French) lives in Berlin and Paris.
