ANGLESEY STAKES
The 'Anglesey Stakes' is a Group 3 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for two-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 6 furlongs and 63 yards (1,265 metres) at the Curragh in mid July.
Prior to 1997 the race took place in late August or early September.
Notable past winners include Nijinsky (1969), Roberto (1971), Storm Bird (1980), Caerleon (1982), Law Society (1984) and Woodman (1985).
