ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF SOUTHWARK


The 'Diocese of Southwark' forms part of the Province of Canterbury in England. It was formed on May 1, 1905 from part of the Diocese of Rochester.[1]
It covers Greater London south of the River Thames and north and east Surrey.
The diocese is divided into three Episcopal Areas each of which contains two Archdeaconries:

★ 'Croydon Episcopal Area' (overseen by the Bishop of Croydon)


★ the Archdeaconry of Croydon



★ includes Deaneries of Croydon Addington, Croydon Central, Croydon North, Croydon South and Sutton


★ the Archdeaconry of Reigate



★ includes Deaneries of Caterham, Godstone, Reigate

★ 'Kingston Episcopal Area' (overseen by the Bishop of Kingston)


★ the Archdeaconry of Lambeth



★ includes Deaneries of Brixton, Clapham, Lambeth, Streatham and Merton


★ the Archdeaconry of Wandsworth



★ includes Deaneries of Battersea, Kingston, Richmond & Barnes, Tooting and Wandsworth

★ 'Woolwich Episcopal Area' (overseen by the Bishop of Woolwich)


★ the Archdeaconry of Lewisham



★ includes Deaneries of Charlton, Deptford, East Lewisham, Eltham & Mottingham, Plumstead, and West Lewisham


★ the Archdeaconry of Southwark



★ includes Deaneries of Bermondsey, Camberwell, Dulwich and Southwark & Newington
