Studies
Sarafyan, representing the Gomitas Institute of London, is expected to meet with Yusuf Halaçoğlu, the President of the Turkish History Institute (TTK), in order to discuss claims about the number of deaths in Turkey's southeastern Harput Plain.[4]
A historian from the TTK told the Turkish Daily News that the two historians will meet face to face in order to determine the procedure of the investigation. The exact nature of the investigation is yet to be determined, however it could be as far-reaching as a commission investigating the evidence, or simply a discussion between the two over the allegations. The cemeteries in Harput may be opened during the course of the investigation.[4]
