ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

The 'Arizona Department of Corrections' is in charge of the incarceration of tens of thousands of inmates in the U.S. state of Arizona. The ADC also manages over 4,000 inmates who have been paroled or that are statutorily released. ADC is also in involved in recruitment and training of correctional officers. The ADC's budget for 2007 was $860 million–an increase over the $761 million budget of 2006 and the $680 million of 2005. [1]
