ARMENO

'Armeno' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 100 km northeast of Turin and about 45 km northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,229 and an area of 31.6 km².^[1]
The municipality of Armeno contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sovazza, Coiromonte, Bàssola and Chéggino.
Armeno borders the following municipalities: Ameno, Brovello-Carpugnino (VB), Colazza, Gignese (VB), Massino Visconti, Miasino, Nebbiuno, Omegna (VB), Pettenasco and Pisano.
