ARPAJON
'Arpajon' is a commune of the Essonne ''département'' in the Île-de-France ''région'', in France. Its postal code is 91290.
Chief town of canton of 9,159 inhabitants, the commune is located at 30 km south of Paris, accessible by the N20, and to 20 km in the north of Étampes. Its inhabitants are ''Arpajonnaises'' and ''Arpajonnais''. Common A a surface of 2.40 km² and culminates to 69 metres.

★ A market takes place each Friday since 13th century.

''Foire aux haricots'' (The Bean Festival), a trade event and artisanal which lasts four days. The bean celebrated here is the chevrier.
