AUBREY GRAHAM

'Aubrey Drake Graham' (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian actor and rapper. He is known for playing Jimmy Brooks, the physically disabled character on ''. As a rapper, Graham uses the stage name 'Drake', which is also his middle name.

Graham was born in Toronto, Ontario, to an African Canadian father and a Jewish Canadian mother.^[1][2] His father is a musician and his mother's family is involved in the arts as well. He attended Forest Hill Collegiate Institute and began acting during high school, after a classmate recommended him to an agent. ¹

Career

Graham has played Jimmy Brooks, the student who was injured in a school shooting at Degrassi, making him the first character with a physical disability on '', since 2001. He will appear in the film ''Charlie Bartlett'', which also stars Anton Yelchin and Robert Downey, Jr., and is scheduled for an August 3, 2007 release date.
As a rapper, Graham has a self-published CD entitled ''Room for Improvement'' under the stage name 'Drake'.^[3] He recently shot a video for his debut single "Replacement Girl" which features R&B singer Trey Songz.^[4] He also made a cameo appearance in Trey Songz' "Wonder Woman" video. Currently, Graham is not signed to any major record labels.
