BAD DAY (INTERNET MEME)

'Bad Day' (also known as Computer rage or 'Office rage') is the name of a 25-second viral video clip that has circulated the Internet since 1997, making it one of the earliest video clips that became an Internet meme. The video contains footage of a man in his office cubicle, getting gradually irritated with the lack of response from his computer. First he slaps the monitor, causing temporary concern for a person in a neighbouring cubicle. Then he punches the keyboard, picks it up and uses it like a bat to smash the monitor off the desk and out of the cubicle. He then gets up out of his chair and, as his worried neighbor observes, delivers a final kick to the downed screen.
The video clip was part of a marketing campaign by a company situated in Colorado called Loronix Information Systems and stars Vinny Licciardi, the company's shipping manager and appeared in a series of promotional videos extolling the benefits
of Loronix's special brand of digital video recording systems. However, "Bad Day" made the largest impression and was easily distributed via e-mail thanks to its reasonable size (416KB).
The "true source" of the video in question was revealed in 1998 by Security Distribution Magazine.
The video was recently mixed with Sony's infamous E3 2006 Press Conference. Once the price of "599 US Dollars" is revealed, the man starts hitting the computer.
The video has also been used in a television advertisement for Walker Wireless (Now Woosh Wireless), a wireless internet provider in New Zealand.
