The 'Bangkok Metropolitan Area' () is the urban area of Bangkok, Thailand and its surrounding provinces. Altogether it covers an area of 7,761.50 km² and with a registered population of 9,988,400 (as of April 4, 2007) it has a population density of 1,286.92 per km².
