BATTLE OF RUSPINA

The 'Battle of Ruspina' was fought on January 4, 46 BC between the forces of Julius Caesar and the Pompeian forces of Titus Labienus. Labienus, who had been a supporter of Caesar but defected, won the battle by sheer numbers. Caesar lost nearly one-third of his army.
