Academic Curriculum
Bella Vista offers various degrees of high school courses to its students. Aside from the fundamental courses taken by most of the student body, qualified students are eligible to take Honors-level courses in English, French, Chemistry, Physics, and World History. The Advanced Placement (AP) program is available to qualified students as well; however, the prerequisities to take one of the AP courses are more rigorous than others because these courses grant university credits once the students pass the AP examinations. AP courses are offered in English, Spanish, French, Calculus A/B, Calculus B/C, U.S. History, and Psychology. A special business course called Advanced Computer Applications is available to qualified students, and once completed, will be eligible for 3 units of Sacramento State University credit through the Accelerated College Entrance off-campus program.
