'Bellefonte, Alabama' is a ghost town located in Jackson County, Alabama.
Bellefonte was settled in the early nineteenth century, became the county seat, suffered severe damage during the American Civil War and was abandoned by the 1880s.
All that remains of Bellefonte today are the cemetery, the chimney of the local inn and piles of scattered bricks.
