BELPASSO

'Belpasso' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 150 km southeast of Palermo and about 10 km northwest of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 21,841 and an area of 164.4 km².^[1]
The municipality of Belpasso contains the ''frazione'' (subdivision) Piano Tavola.
Belpasso borders the following municipalities: Adrano, Biancavilla, Bronte, Camporotondo Etneo, Castiglione di Sicilia, Catania, Lentini, Maletto, Mascalucia, Motta Sant'Anastasia, Nicolosi, Paternò, Ragalna, Ramacca, Randazzo, San Pietro Clarenza, Sant'Alfio, Zafferana Etnea.
