BEN LOMOND MOUNTAIN (UTAH)
'Ben Lomond Peak' near Ogden, Utah is probably the most famous of the peaks in the northern portion of the Wasatch Mountains. It stands north of Ogden in prominent fashion and is very popular with the community. A well-used trail passes over its summit (elevation 9712 feet), accessible from four different trailheads to the north, south, and east.
A slightly higher summit, Willard Peak, stands approximately two miles north of Ben Lomond at an elevation of 9764 feet. Nevertheless, Ben Lomond is the better known peak because of its prominence when viewed from the south.
Ben Lomond Peak is said to have inspired the official logo for Paramount Pictures.
