BERNARD BARROW
'Bernard Barrow' (December 30 1927 – August 4 1993) was an American actor, best known for his role as "Johnny Ryan", a publican and the patriarch of an Irish American family on the television soap opera,
''Ryan's Hope'', which he played from 1975 until the show's demise in 1989.
Born in New York City, Barrow began his acting career in 1963. Before starring on ''Ryan's Hope'', he played the role of "Dan Kincaid" on ''The Secret Storm'' from 1970 to 1974. In the early 1990s, he returned to television in the role of "Louie Slavinsky" on ''Loving'', and continued with the role even after his diagnosis with lung cancer. Barrow played the role until his death at age 65 in NYC.
