BIKOL LANGUAGE


'Bikol' or 'Bicolano' is an Austronesian language used in the Philippines particularly on the Bicol Peninsula on the island of Luzon. Bikol Central, or commonly known as Bicol Naga, is the standard language of this kind and is understood by most Bikol speakers..
This language is spoken in the Bikol Region of the Philippines (Region V). There are several dialects including Bikol Rikonada (Iriga City and environs), Bikol Albay (Albay Province), Bisakol (Bisaya-Bikol spoken in Masbate and Sorsogon provinces), Bikol Catanduanes and Bikol Partido (municipalities surrounding Lagonoy Gulf).
