 | William Heath Robinson promo. William Heath Robinson is, and probably always will be, my favorite British illustrator from the turn of the 20th century. A contemporary of Arthur Rackham, Edward Dulac and Aubrey Beardsley, Heath Robinson enjoyed an almost 'rock star' status in his lifetime. However nowadays, for whatever reason, he is now probably the least remembered of these great artists around the world! I therefore created and circulated this short film presentation of his work (not animated!) to motivate galleries on the West Coast of America to stage an exhibition of his work. Sadly, my mission was not successful, although a very successful similar exhibition toured the UK a short while ago I undestand. As a result, William Heath Robinson is yet to be re-discovered by art lovers in the USA or elsewhere around the world! I did at least try!
