'Bisbee' is a city in Towner County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 167 at the 2000 census. Bisbee was founded in 1888.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²), all land.

Demographics


As of the census of 2000, there were 167 people, 82 households, and 39 families residing in the city. The population density was 238.8/km² (624.2/mi²). There were 102 housing units at an average density of 145.9/km² (381.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.01% White, 0.60% African American, 1.20% Native American, and 1.20% from two or more races.
There were 82 households out of which 22.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.5% were married couples living together, 6.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 52.4% were non-families. 48.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 26.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.04 and the average family size was 3.05.
In the city the population was spread out with 22.2% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 21.6% from 25 to 44, 26.3% from 45 to 64, and 24.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45 years. For every 100 females there were 94.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.4 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $30,000, and the median income for a family was $37,188. Males had a median income of $21,875 versus $12,292 for females. The per capita income for the city was $17,610. About 15.4% of families and 13.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 21.4% of those under the age of eighteen and 10.0% of those sixty five or over.
