BLANCHARDVILLE BULLETS
The 'Blanchardville Bullets' is an amateur baseball team that plays in the Home Talent Baseball League in Blanchardville, Wisconsin. The Bullets were started in 1934 and have been playing in the Home Talent League ever since.
This baseball team mainly consists of the best baseball players from the Blanchardville area and relatives from the area. To play for the Bullets, one must pay the league fee. The rest of the money comes from local sponsors. At present, the team fees go to the league to pay for the umpires and the sponsors' contributions go towards equipment.
Most members start to play after graduating from high school, but there are a select few that get called up at younger ages. Back in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, it was very common to have 2,000 people at a game on a Sunday afternoon, an impressive figure for a town of approximately 500 people at the time.
