The Blountstown High School FFA Chapter won the 2006 FFA National Forestry Championship. It is the very first National Championship ever won by the Blountstown High School. They competed against 36 teams from around the country and brought home the first place prize.

Football


The Tigers have one of the top high school football programs in the state of Florida. They won state titles in 1973, 1976, and 1977, and were class 1A state runners-up in 2004. The current head coach is Greg Jordan, a Blountstown native who was an assistant a BHS for several years before leaving in 2005 to be the head coach at Wewahitchka High School in Wewahitchka, Florida. He left the Wewahitchka Gators at the end of the year, despite leading the Gators to the playoffs and a winning season.
The Tigers are a member of FHSAA Class 2B, District 2 football.
