BOB CROWLEY


'Bob Crowley' (born in Cork, Ireland) is a theatre director, scenic and costume designer. He is the brother of director John Crowley. He has been nominated for the Tony Award ten times, winning three for designing the Broadway productions of ''Aida'' (2000), ''Carousel'' (1994) and ''The History Boys''. He is a frequent collaborator of Nicholas Hytner's and besides Broadway has worked extensively at the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company in London.
Most recently, Bob Crowley designed set and costume for Mary Poppins, currently playing in the West End and then opened on Broadway in November 2006. He also designed and directed the Phil Collins/Disney musical, Tarzan, which closed at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway on July 8 2007 after a run of 487 performances.
