BOB TODD
'Bob Todd' (15 December 1921 – 21 October 1992) was a British comedy actor, mostly known for being a sidekick of Benny Hill and Spike Milligan.
He was born in Faversham, Kent and died in Sussex, six months after Benny Hill died. For many years he lived in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Todd was best known for his lugubrious expression and talent for slapstick. He was known to fellow comedians by the nickname "Silly Todd." His television career began in the early 1960s. Prior to becoming a comic support he was a cattle farmer and served as a Royal Air Force navigator during World War II.
Todd's perpetually crumpled visage was immortalised in the 1985 Half Man Half Biscuit song "99% of Gargoyles Look Like Bob Todd."
