Creation & pre-publication

In 2002, publisher Robert E Garcia believed he noticed a gap in the magazine market, that there was little focus on Latin women as models. After considerable research he came up with 'Mujeres Bonita Magazine' (''Pretty Women''). During this period he made various contacts in the business and had the magazine's first official photo shoot in 2003. It was in 2003 the name of the magazine was changed to its current name, simply 'Bonita Magazine'.
In September 2003 the first sample issue was produced. Issue Three is pictured here featuring the work of photographer Kendal Carr of VisualCocktail
