BONNIE SOMERVILLE
'Bonnie Somerville' (born February 24, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York, United States) is an actress who has had roles in a number of movies and television series, most notably ''NYPD Blue'', ''Grosse Pointe'', and ''The O.C.''.
Born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn by her mother and large Irish Catholic family. Bonnie started acting and singing at a young age, appearing in all the high school plays at Poly Prep Country Day School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She attended Boston College as a Musical Theater major, and returned home upon completing her education in order to try acting professionally. At the age of 17 Bonnie had a development deal to sing her own music and sang with many bands in the New York city music scene. She was noticed by a modeling scout while waiting tables in New York and did some modeling in New York and Europe, only to return even more determined to succeed as an actress. At the age of 22 Bonnie moved to Los Angeles at which point she quickly assembled a band and got an agent. Her first major acting audition for television was for the lead role in CBS's mini-series, Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story (1999), in which she also sang. She lives in Los Angeles.
On ''The O.C.'' she played Rachel Hoffman, a colleague of Sandy Cohen in Season 1.
She also starred on the popular sitcom ''Friends'' as Mona, dating Ross in Season 8.
In the soundtrack of the movie ''Garden State'' (directed by then-boyfriend, Zach Braff) she contributed the song "Winding Road".
She also appeared in Spiderman 2.
She is currently a singer in the group Band from TV with Greg Grunberg, Bob Guiney, James Denton, Hugh Laurie, Barry Sarna, Brad Savage, Rich Winer, and Chris Kelley.
