History

Originally, Boo Hoo was a real bear which was paraded around at football games and kept in the basement of Grant Hall. It was the job of the head cheerleader of Queen's Bands to keep the bear fed and watered. Some time after the fifth of these bears died, the Bands switched to the more humane costume, the third incarnation of which is worn today. The mascot is a member of the Queen's Bands cheerleaders and he or she fulfills all mascot duties.
