BOOMER SOONER
'Boomer Sooner' is the fight song for the University of Oklahoma written by Arthur M. Alden in 1905. The tune is borrowed from "Boola Boola", the fight song of Yale University. An addition was added a year later from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's "I'm a Tarheel Born".
Boomer Sooner has also found its way into the world of professional wrestling. World Wrestling Entertainment announcer Jim Ross (an Oklahoma native and Sooners fan) uses "Boomer Sooner" as his theme song.
