BOXFORD, SUFFOLK
'Boxford' is a village and civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England, situated about six miles east of Sudbury. According to Eilert Ekwall the meaning of the village name is " the ford where box tree grows".The Domesday Book records the population of Boxford in 1086 to be 18. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1,258.
