BREMEN TOWNSHIP, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS

'Bremen Township' is a township organized in 1850, located southwest of Chicago, Illinois in southern Cook County, Illinois. The population as of the 2000 census was 109,575. An administrative office for Bremen Township is located on Oak Park Avenue in Oak Forest.

★ Country Club Hills (the remaining portion lies in Bloom Township)

★ Harvey (the extreme western edge of Harvey, the remaining 99% lies in Thornton Township)
The public school district for most of Bremen Township is Bremen Community High School District 228 which includes Oak Forest High School, Bremen High School (Illinois), Tinley Park High School, and Hillcrest High School (Illinois).

Bremen Township is bordered by Harlem Avenue (Illinois Route 43) on the west, 135th Street on the north, Western Avenue on the east and 183rd Street on the south.
To the north of Bremen Township is Worth Township, to the west is Orland Township, to the south is Rich Township, and to the east is Thornton Township.
To the northwest is Palos Township, to the northeast is Calumet Township, to the southeast is Bloom Township and to the southwest is Frankfort Township in Will County.
