BRIAN UNGER
'Brian Unger' is an American comedian, writer, producer, and commentator. He was an original contributor to ''The Daily Show'', from 1996 to 1998. Currently, he provides regular commentary for the NPR show ''Day to Day'' and guest hosts MSNBC's ''Countdown with Keith Olbermann''.
Unger is a native of Granville, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University in 1987, where he majored in communication. While attending Ohio University he worked on a televion show called Fridays Live. The 100th episode of Fridays Live will air on May 25th 2007.
While working for ''The Daily Show'' in 1998, he was named one of ''Entertainment Weekly's "100 Most Creative People in Entertainment."
Unger's other television appearances include the Comedy Central shows ''Reno 911!'' and ''The Man Show'', various ''I Love the...'' shows on VH1, as well as appearances on ABC's ''Jimmy Kimmel Live'', NBC's ''Later'', E!'s ''Talk Soup,'' the syndicated entertainment newsmagazine ''Extra'', and was the spokesman for Yoo-hoo.
His written commentary has appeared in ''The New York Times'' and ''The Washington Post''.
Unger is also one of the co-hosts of a new PBS series, ''Wired Science [1]'' debuting in January 2007, based on the popular science and technology-oriented ''Wired magazine''.
